Two Young Broadcasting, LLC stations—ABC affiliates WKRN Nashville’s News 2 and WATE TV6 in Knoxville—are partnering with event and entertainment listings search engine eviesays to power their online event and entertainment calendars, it was announced today.
The stations will adopt the eviesays calendar technology on their websites immediately. The calendars, which will be privately branded to have the look and feel of the stations, will enable visitors to find, browse, and interact with local events, as well as hundreds of thousands of national events residing on eviesays.com.
The eviesays platform allows users to export their favorite listings to their personal calendar software, e-mail listings to friends, and get directions from Google Maps to events. Visitors to the site will also be able to submit their own listings via an on-line submissions form at the website.

The calendar also allows the stations to sell premier sponsorship opportunities to local advertisers, which will appear immediately beneath the calendar and on numerous search result pages.
